Wayne Hwang

CoFounder/Director of Visual Design

Merging dual backgrounds in medicine and design, Wayne directs, manages, and executes all tasks related to visual design for clients and for the agency’s own marketing materials. He crafts logos and brand identity standards, designs websites, mobile apps, and marketing collateral, leads photography, and manages film crews.

Early in his career, Wayne launched WDesigns, his own fashion company, and developed his organizational and managerial skills by creating Charity Fashion Show, which quickly grew into a thriving non-profit organization and huge fundraising event—the largest annual fashion show on the West Coast.

He eventually sold WDesigns and moved to New York to conduct clinical research for The Vascular Treatment Center of Brooklyn. While guiding the center through a successful rebranding, Wayne founded Ignite when he realized he could use both his design skills and medical background to help healthcare service providers develop their brands and connect with patients and referrers.

Wayne uses his medical background and biological sciences degree from Stanford University every day in his work. “I can speak to physicians and healthcare marketing professionals in their language,” says Wayne. “Better communication means better branding.”
